This video was taken by a camera attached to the side of one of the Space Shuttle’s boosters as it detaches and falls back through the atmosphere to Earth. It’s completely mesmerising, and completely surprising. I didn’t expect the noises, the hypnotic rotation, and the apparent smoothness of the ride. Watch right through to the end, it’s worth every second.
