Yes, yes, I’ve gone and changed the WordPress theme. But with purpose.

K2 is lovely, and I might well return to it if I can’t work out an alternative of my own that I like. But Sandbox offers scope for exactly that; it’s a semantically right-on, and comes with built-in skins - themes within themes - so that you can skin it further to your heart’s delight. I’m hoping that with some time, I’ll be able to tweak Sandbox into something I can live with. Otherwise I’ll be back to K2 like a shot.

UPDATE: Well that lasted about 30 minutes. Half an hour of hacking with CSS and PHP files and I came to a firm conclusion: I’m too half-arsed at this to make anything worthwhile, so it’s back to K2 for me. Humph. I’ll switch things around again if and when Khoi Vinh ever makes, or allows someone to make, a Subtraction-style WordPress theme.
